The book was pretty good, overall since it is finally over.

The last couple chapters were the most interesting since they finally introduced Mr. Arthur “Boo” Radley. About time too, cause in the middle of the book they left him out for a long time, then finally the author added him back in. I was wondering why the kids stoped pestering him cause they wasted a whole summer tryin to get him out of the house.

The chapter I liked was when scout was the ham, it was pretty funny since she had to dress up as a ham for a school project to show to the whole town, I thought when she fell asleep and finally got on stage at the end of the performance was hysterical. Then Boo finally came, he killed Mr. Bob Ewell cause he started to attack the children, Mr. Ewell did succeed in hurting them<He broke Jems arm and tried to get Scout(Her ham costume protected her)> but Boo came and killed him with a kitchen knife so Mr. Ewell wouldnt do any more damage.

These last chapters of the book had been very good and made me wish that there had been more of the book left.  It would have been nice if they had a continuation of it.  Also I think it is very funny that scout had to become the ham and she had to forget to come out on cue. Also she had been very lucky that she had not taken the costume off when Jem had suggested of her to do.  I also thought that Mr. Ewell had been very bad and should of stayed alive so that he could of gone to jail, but it would of have meant that Jem and scout would of probably have died. But I wonder why Atticus still wanted to say that Jem had been the one to stab Mr. Ewell even though he knew there was no way that he would be able to stab him especially after knowing that Mr. Ewell had hurt his kids to get back at him. I think that it had been wrong that Mr. Ewell had done what he had done and had not thought of his kids in who will be left behind to thrive on their own. Also it had been very nice that the sheriff had told Atticus that Mr. Ewell had died by falling on his knife but I also think that both of them were stubborn to stay to the idea of how Ewell had died.  It’s sad that this book end but the author was really good other than he first few chapters and the way it had ended did not feel like it fully had been completed.

…I dont really have much to say… I just… Atticus lost… I guess these few chapters were okay. Mr. Ewell is the biggest bad word I have ever read about. It’s just…you have to feel for Atticus because you know in our time he would have won. And when Mr. Ewell spit at Atticus for doing the right thing I would have socked that dude right in the face. The sadest part of the book is when Tom Robinson was running(he is really fast by the way) and tried to hop over the fence but because of his hurt arm, he was to slow and got shot…by the worst person in the world. You know who I’m talking about.  I think Tom did that was because he couldnt stand being away from his family, but I bet that Mr. Ewell is mighty happy about it. Since he thinks Tom deserved it. Mr. Ewell will die I “think” and if(1w2h3e4n) he does he sure does deserve it. I’m not much for people being shot even if they are bad but Mr. Ewell is an exception. I think that these chapters had been even more enticing and made me even more enraged.  It had been unfair that Atticus had lost the case even though everyone could see the injustice and had known that Tom Robinson was innocent and that the Ewell’s had been lying. Although, I hope that they will have a second trial for Tom so that he will not be executed.  I thought that it had been nice that Jem had cried after hearing what happened because he knows what has happened was not right.  Also, I thought that it had been very bad that Mr. Ewell had spit on Atticus just because he had help tell the truth of the story.   But it had been very noble of Atticus not to do anything because he is a gentleman and he knew what would happen if Mr. Ewell had not taken out his anger on him.  It made me angry to think that he would beat up his daughter or one of his other kids because he had been drunk and angry, he should have tried something to better himself for his kids.  And it makes me very sad to think that there is no other way to save Tom Robinson because no one would be able to save his case during that time because no one would think that he is innocent and just like it had stated in the book that it was very typical that someone like Tom had been Executed wrongly.

These chapters were interesting since they involved the end of the trial.

It sucks that Tom Robinson was convicted event though all the evidence showed that he was innocent and that Mr. Robert E. Lee Ewell was the one who beat up his daughter. I hate how back then if evidence shows that a negro person is innocent, they convict him cause they think that even though his innocent he might really do it someday in the distant future. Now if a white person did it, they would let it slide. I think its plain wrong since everyone has equal rights. I dont blame Jem for crying cause it wasn’t right how they treated Tom throughout the whole trial.

I really didnt like chapter 23 cause it showed Mr. Ewell meant businessin treating people that were at the trail cause he wanted Tom sentenced to death. He threatened everyone, including Atticus sayin that he was gona get him for what he did, which I think is something that Atticus cares deeply about.

Its terrible that Tom tried to escape prison and ending up getting shot just when he was over the fence. I think Tom did that was because he couldnt stand being away from his family, but I bet that Mr. Ewell is mighty happy about it. Since he thinks Tom deserved it.

These chapters were VERY interesting since it was all about Tom Robinsons case.

It was shocking that nobody brought a doctor for Mayella Violet Ewell when she’s was supposedly attacked/raped. They were too occupied to accuse Tom Robinson then to care about Mayella bruises.  What I liked the most was what Atticus did with Mr. Robert E. Lee Ewell. He found that Mr. Ewell was left handed and that he has a very NASTY temper when he’s wasted/drunk. Mr. Ewell is a HUGE fibber too since he would accuse someone over what he did in anger to his children. Mayella to me is one LONELY person since she never had any friends, she thought Atticus was macking fun of with her but he wasnt, and she wasn’t around anyone her on age. It was nice of Tom to help her out for free since I would do the same thing for someone as lonely as her. I don’t blame her for lying to everyone about what happened since I would be scared too if my father, during those times, found out that I was hitting on a negro man. I agree with what Tom Robinson was sayin cause how could he have hurt Mayella when his left arm was damaged from a cotton gin(a machine for separating seeds, husks, and other unwanted material from cotton fiber) when his was little. He may be strong enough to chop up a chiffarobe(I think it’s a log, not really sure) but I don’t think he could use his left so much since he seemed off balance when he was standing up in the courtroom. It’s a good thing Tom ran off when Mr. Ewell came out of nowhere blazing mad that his daughter just kissed a negro man, I would have never stayed if that happened.

Chapter seventeen to twenty had been another great chapter to my opinion.   I had really liked the overall plot of how Atticus persecutes all of the witness even ones that were not his own with equality and shows different ways to try and help his case unlike of how Mr. Glimer who constantly gives crude remarks that are unkind and show inequality. He would not be one of my favorite characters because he seems to be only judging by color. Also, I think that after hearing both of the cases it seems to me that Tom Robinson had seemed innocent and Mayella who had gone on a crazy rant had been lying. Also I like how Atticus is very smart when he is trying to show his innocents like how he had shown that Mayella had got beaten by someone with a left hand which could not of been Tom because his left arm is crippled.

Also this shows that Atticus is a good lawyer and I think that Dill had been very considerate of the situation that he would cry of the injustice remarks of Mr. Glimer. I think that what Tom Robinson said was most likely true and that the person who had beaten her was her father.  I hope that in the next chapter that Mayella will tell the truth so that we will really know what happened at the scene of the crime. Although if she is lying and her father was the one who had beaten her she might be too scared to say.  Or she might burst out and say that it was true after Atticus says that she had tried to cover her guilt and send it away for breaking their unspoken law.
