Another excellent Edublogs.org weblog
Chapter 13 to 16 has yet to fail to bring me into the changing plot and having me wanting to know more of what will happen. A few of these especially twisting moments is when Atticus sister Alexandra had come to stay with them. Overall I don’t think that she is entirely bad but can have more improvement on how she had treated Jem and Scout opposed to her grandchild who was in more of the wrong than them. Also, of how she pushes her ideals of how they should be, she seems somewhat rude and prideful of how the Finch family should be like when Jem had told her about what their cousin Joshua had done and had Atticus give them a talking to. Then just after that another interesting plot arises itself. I thought this was one of the most interesting and funny when they found dill. It had been fascinating of how they had thought him to be a snake and even jabbed him with a broom. Then Once Jem had found Dill he had been quit responsible that he told Atticus that he’d run away. It had seemed rather of a betrayal to both Dill and Scout but in the end Atticus had been nice enough to have him be able to stay for a while.
Then it becomes even more heart wrenching to know what will happen to the trial whether Tom Robinson will be accused of those crimes and whether Atticus will be able to win this trial. Although to my opinion even if he had been accused of raping one of the Ewell’s daughters he and every one should have a fair trial which most people there will believe the word of the Ewell’s, who in most of the public opinion is not a very good family, and then should accuse him properly with fair suitable punishment if found guilty. Also, I think that it is interesting that Jem and Scout where able to go to the trial which little kids nowadays there age would not be able to go to trial like this unless they are involved with the incident.

Times have really changed since back then. They were able to get away with more stuff back then compared to now. I really don’t mind because I don’t want to get into danger. So I do not mind. Dill seems like a funny character. I also think that it is cute how scout and dill are going to ‘marry’ each other. I always think that stuff like that is very cute. Sometimes I wonder if I were to do something like that.
Atticus is very brave to be doing what he is doing. People do not like that fact that he’s defending a black man, but he is dong it anyways. That is a hard thing to deal with. Also, people want to hurt him such as cummingham. If I had to deal with THAT dude, I would have laid him out.

I agree with what you are saying, but I also think that the Ewell’s are just trying to get some money. The way they are doing it is immoral but a smart strategy. I also wonder about Boo Radley. In the beginning there is so much talk about him it pretty much made the whole book. Then in a few chapters his name is barely a whisper. I wonder how he will come back to this story. I also think that Atticus will loose. I don’t want to be negative but the way it is going and the feelings people have for his client, just doesn’t seam like he will win. I also thought it was funny when they found Dill and started poking him. Poor Dill though, that must have hurt. I think this book changes ideas a lot but it is still a great read.
