I think that these chapters had been even more enticing and made me even more enraged.  It had been unfair that Atticus had lost the case even though everyone could see the injustice and had known that Tom Robinson was innocent and that the Ewell’s had been lying. Although, I hope that they will have a second trial for Tom so that he will not be executed.  I thought that it had been nice that Jem had cried after hearing what happened because he knows what has happened was not right.  Also, I thought that it had been very bad that Mr. Ewell had spit on Atticus just because he had help tell the truth of the story.   But it had been very noble of Atticus not to do anything because he is a gentleman and he knew what would happen if Mr. Ewell had not taken out his anger on him.  It made me angry to think that he would beat up his daughter or one of his other kids because he had been drunk and angry, he should have tried something to better himself for his kids.  And it makes me very sad to think that there is no other way to save Tom Robinson because no one would be able to save his case during that time because no one would think that he is innocent and just like it had stated in the book that it was very typical that someone like Tom had been Executed wrongly.

These chapters were interesting since they involved the end of the trial.

It sucks that Tom Robinson was convicted event though all the evidence showed that he was innocent and that Mr. Robert E. Lee Ewell was the one who beat up his daughter. I hate how back then if evidence shows that a negro person is innocent, they convict him cause they think that even though his innocent he might really do it someday in the distant future. Now if a white person did it, they would let it slide. I think its plain wrong since everyone has equal rights. I dont blame Jem for crying cause it wasn’t right how they treated Tom throughout the whole trial.

I really didnt like chapter 23 cause it showed Mr. Ewell meant businessin treating people that were at the trail cause he wanted Tom sentenced to death. He threatened everyone, including Atticus sayin that he was gona get him for what he did, which I think is something that Atticus cares deeply about.

Its terrible that Tom tried to escape prison and ending up getting shot just when he was over the fence. I think Tom did that was because he couldnt stand being away from his family, but I bet that Mr. Ewell is mighty happy about it. Since he thinks Tom deserved it.
