In the begging of TKAM we first met scout. Scout begins to tell us about her family roots of how her family became to be. We met Jem, her brother, and scout begins to tell how Jem broke his arm. She first starts of how Jem and she met Dill, a boy out of state who likes to tell fibs. At the end of the summer Dill  goes back home, and Jem starts 4th or 5th grade.  While scout starts 1st grade. Scout reliazes that she does not like school because of Ms. Caroline. Ms. Caroline had told scout to she should stop reading and learn her way.

              How To Kill A Mockingbird-Chapters 1-4

Hi, this is Matt. The book, How To Kill A Mockingbird, is set in a flashback. The first chapter was very boring but it did discuss the main points of the story. The other chapters were a lot more exciting and not as boring. They discussed the characters such as Atticus, Scout, and Jem with many other characters. The first four chapters seemed very boring and unnecessary. It got better as you go along but you have the feeling its not a good book after reading the first chapter. I have gone ahead in the book and it is very good. Going back to the first four chapters, BOO Radley seems like a nice guy (or so I think). In other words, the first four chapters were not the best, but I can tell that the book gets better. ~Matt

Chapter’s 1-4

To Kill a Mockingbird is a profound story of a girl named scout that gives flashback of her life and shows old western life styles and will take you through all their mischievous tales and games.  Scout lives with her father Atticus and her brother Jem. Her mother had died two years after she had been born.  These chapters mostly center on their summers and the beginning of scouts first year of school.  During the summer Dill who came to visit his aunt, Rachel Crawford, which he does every summer and has been the starting point of their tale.  Because of him it had made Scout and Jem venture more towards the Radley’s house.  When Dill had become more acquainted with scout and her brother he was told the legend of the Radley’s. Because of this Dill had dared Jem to go and touch the Radley house. Then during the ending of the school year Scout had seen two pieces of gum in a hole in a tree on the Radley’s house and had went there again only to find more things.  During that summer Dill had come once again and had started a role-playing game like they would usually do of books and movies but instead had done the story of Boo Radley.
