Qote to Qote 2125

“To Maycomb, Tom’s death was typical.”  “Tom was a dead man the minute Mayella Ewell opened her mouth and screamed.”

I think that these quotes are very important because it just shows that the habitants of Maycomb all look racist and even though they know that Tom Robinson had been innocent it looks like there pride took the better of them. And I hate how it says that they take the word of a white person rather than that of a black person.  I think it is unfair that people expect that Tom Robinson’s case is a lost cause and also it makes me mad to think that everyone is unfair of their verdict.  Also of how everyone had treated Atticus or most likely the Ewell who had spit at Atticus just because he had gotten embarrassed in court. It had been all his fault that it had gotten even worse for beating his daughter and lying which had cause him all this grief and should of just told the truth in the first place so a persons life would not have to be sacrificed for their lie.
